RCB Bank Ltd was the general partner of the international forum “Russia and Cyprus: Lessons of the Crisis and Prospects for Cooperation”, organized on April 27th 2016 in Moscow by the Russian business newspaper ‘Vedomosti’.
The conference examined the success of Cyprus in dealing with the crisis and stabilizing its economy and the prospects for further cooperation between the two countries.
RCB Bank’s CEO Dr. Kirill Zimarin was the moderator of the key note session which included the Cypriot Minister of Finance Mr. Harris Georghiades, the Deputy Minister for Economic Development of the Russian Federation Mr. Nikolay R. Podguzov, the Ambassadors of Cyprus in Russia and of the Russian Federation in Nicosia as well as the representatives of the Chambers of Commerce of the two countries. They all stressed the importance and mutual benefits from the excellent cooperation between the two countries. The discussion was focused on Cyprus' experience in overcoming the crisis and cooperation in the prospective economy sectors of energy, finance, real estate and tourism.
RCB Bank’s First Deputy CEO Mr. Andrey Vedenkov was a speaker at the session which examined the investment opportunities in Cyprus, infrastructure projects, the banking sector and the overall trade and economic cooperation. In his address, Mr. Vedenkov outlined the investment attractiveness of the Cypriot economy and promoted the country as an investment destination, both for local and international investors.
The event was attended by more than 200 delegates, including top managers of Russian and Cypriot companies, representing various sectors of the economy, professional associations, financial institutions, experts, analysts and media representatives.
