Dr. Kirill Zimarin reelected to the Presidency of the Association of International Banks in Cyprus

Dr. Kirill Zimarin, CEO of RCB Bank Ltd has been reelected to the Presidency of the Association of International Banks in Cyprus during the 14th Annual General Meeting that took place in Limassol yesterday. Dr. Zimarin, who has been President of the Association since 2008, will therefore continue to lead the Association for the next two years.
During his speech, Dr. Kirill Zimarin underlined the multifaceted work conducted by the Association over the past year and reiterated that: “The Association will continue to work actively in promoting the interests of its members and the Cypriot banking sector in general at a European as well as an international level”. Dr. Zimarin concluded by stressing that: “The Cypriot banking system in its entirety has an important role to play in enhancing the Cypriot economy. The International Banks will continue to support both Cypriot businesses in materializing their investment and growth plans as well as the country at large”.
The Association of International Banks was set up in Limassol in 2002, with the aim of representing the interests of international banks in Cyprus. Since its inception, the Association has played a leading role with regards to issues affecting or otherwise impacting upon the international banking sector. The Association brings together 24 banks.
