New limits for “card not present transactions”
Starting from October 4th 2016, RCB Bank Ltd introduces new limits for card not present transactions. A card not present transaction is a payment card transaction where the cardholder cannot physically present the card to the seller for visual examination at the time that payment is made. These transactions include internet, mail or telephone orders. The new limits introduced by RCB Bank aim to enable you to better manage and control your RCB Visa cards spending.
Two types of limits for card not present transactions will be set, depending on whether our SMS-Notice service is connected to an RCB Visa card or not:
- For RCB Visa cards with an activated SMS-Notice service, the new “Daily limit for card not present transactions” will be equal to the “Daily transaction limit” of the specific card. You can change this limit by notifying the Bank via RCB Telephone Banking, fax, mail or by visiting one of our branches.
- For RCB Visa cards that do not have an activated SMS-Notice service, the new “Monthly limit for card not present transactions” will be set at 200 Euros, with the possibility to decrease it.
To activate the SMS-Notice service on your card, please send a request via RCB Online Banking, or by fax or mail. Alternatively, you can complete and sign the SMS-Notice form at any RCB branch. The SMS-Notice service is an additional feature helping to monitor and enhance the security of card transactions over the internet. The service is provided free of charge.
The default limits for RCB Visa cards will be set as follows:
